Self-Interference Cancellation Filter Design for Full Duplex 5G Wireless Communications Systems

Introduction

Next-generation 5G wireless systems are required to transmit and receive at the same time in the same frequency band to enhance spectrum utilization and increase data capacity.

Project Scope

  • RF and baseband variable delay lines and bandpass filters CMOS design for self-interference cancellation in full duplex wireless systems.
  • Wideband quadrature RF canceller for single antenna full duplex wireless systems (CMOS/discrete).

Project Roadmap (two semesters)

  1. Literature survey.
  2. Full duplex wireless theory.
  3. CMOS canceller design in baseband.
  4. RF canceller design, implementation and measurement.
  5. System integration.
